Registration in the Register of Congolese Established in Kenya

The Register of Congolese established in Kenya is a register that allows Congolese abroad to benefit from facilities in their administrative procedures with the consular post (consulate or embassy).

Particulars

This formality is optional, free of charge. It is generally valid for five years, renewable.

The registration in the Register, the updating of your file and the request for cancellation are carried out on site at the Embassy.

First Time Registration

Simply come to the embassy to fill out your registration form and present, for yourself and your minor children, the following documents:

  1. Proof of identity and nationality: valid or expired Congolese national identity card or passport less than 2 years old
  2. Proof of recent address in Kenya indicating, in Latin characters, your complete address with district and postal code (and compound if this is the case): Residence card + national address or Residence card + nominative lease contract.
  3. Recent passport photo.
  4. Strongly recommended: proof of Congolese nationality (depending on your situation birth certificate -even old-, certificate of Congolese nationality, naturalization decree) and family record book.

Update Your File

If you are or have been registered in the Register of Congolese established in Kenya, you can at any time check and update the data concerning you: personal data, family situation, security data (persons to be notified in case of emergency) with the embassy.

In case of change of address, it is necessary to provide a recent proof of residence in Kenya indicating, in Latin characters, your complete address with district and postal code (and compound if this is the case): Residence card + national address or Residence card + nominative lease contract.

Renew Your Registration

The renewal of your registration is also done on site at the embassy.

Request Your Cancellation

If you leave Kenya to return to the DRC, you can request your removal from the Register of Congolese established in Kenya.
